The Prendio and BioProcure team had the honor of sponsoring and volunteering at this year’s Bio-Ball event. Participants from the biotech industry team up with Special Olympics athletes to compete in various basketball-themed activities. Bio-Ball is more than just a sports competition; it's a celebration of inclusion, teamwork , and perseverance. This incredible charity event, benefiting Special Olympics Massachusetts, raised an impressive $436,440, showcasing the power of collaboration and generosity within our biotech community.
Most of our Prendio-BioProcure employees were assigned to one of the “Skills and Drills” stations, where teams competed to see how many consecutive layups they could make, fostering a spirit of friendly competition and teamwork. The energy was infectious, with everyone encouraging each other and celebrating each successful shot. The winning 35 consecutive layups was a true display of team coordination and skill.
The success of this year’s Bio-Ball is a testament to the dedication and generosity of everyone involved. Special Olympics Massachusetts provides year-round sports training and athletic competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Knowing that our efforts will help support their mission to foster inclusion and provide life-changing opportunities for athletes across the state is incredibly fulfilling.
Participating in Bio-Ball goes beyond sponsorship for us; it reflects our core values of partnership, community involvement, and support for inclusive programs. Our commitment to the biotech industry extends well beyond business, reaching into the heart of the community. As we celebrate this year’s achievements, we look forward to even greater engagement and support in the years to come. Together, we can make a difference, one layup at a time.
